Food Drive, Parent Lounge, and Halloween

Fury Food Drive!



In the spirit of giving thanks, during the month of November, Fury Academy will be doing a Food Drive for the Chattanooga Food Bank. There will be a bin located in the parent lounge at the front entrance at the Academy for anyone to drop donations! All canned food and non-perishable items will be greatly appreciated to help those less fortunate during the holiday season!

The New Parent Lounge

Thank you for being patient with the current construction at the facility! In the end it will all be worth the wait! We are working on a new parent lounge for the parents to enjoy while the kids work hard and learn. For the safety of you, your children, and our instructors please sit back, relax, and enjoy the new parent lounge instead of venturing out on the instruction floor! New features of the Parent Lounge include:

*Wi-Fi center With Countertops

*Upstairs Changing Room with Shower and Toilet

*Air Conditioning and Heat

*Big Flat Screen TV with Cable

*Extended Upstairs Observation Area

*New Lounging Furniture

hitters versus pitchers with Instructors 

starting Monday, Oct 22nd

In this six week clinic, our instructors will coach both the hitter and pitcher to success in a game-like hitter versus pitcher situation.  We are making the hardest part of the game to practice available to all ages and levels.  Our instructors will coach both the hitter and pitcher to success in a game-like hitter versus pitcher situation.  There will be six 45 minute classes once a week.  Each 45 minute class will be age and skill specific.

Clinic begins Monday, October 22nd at Fury Academy.  All classes will begin after 6pm.  Exact class times will be determined by age and skill level.  Classes will be every Monday until December 3rd (off week of Thanksgiving).

How long have you worked at Fury? Since before the beginning. 

Why do you love softball? Because it wasn't the perfect sport for my body. It was always a challenge, mentally and physically, and it prepared me for each new obstacle in my life.  Plus, earning a spot on the field was a personal conquest over every other girl who was physically more gifted than I was. Oh, and I love to chase down a fly ball. 

Why do you love teaching? I continued to play softball in college because I wanted to coach and teach. I always admired my coaches, even the tough ones, and I wanted to invest in my kids in that way.

We are now taking applications for all 3 clinics.

Clinics are:

Catching : Tuesdays starting October 23rd

Hitters vs. Pitchers LIVE AT BATS : Mondays starting October 22nd

Beginners All Skills (Ages 5-6 or 7-8) : Thursdays starting October 25th

All clinics are 6 weeks long and will be skill and age specific.

Each 6 week clinic costs $120 and full amount is due first week.

Make Room for FPT

As you enter Fury Academy this week, you will notice some pretty big changes.  Cages have been moved around, the tee area is partitioned off, and there is a huge fenced in area where there used to hang a long cage.  As most of you probably know, FFA North experienced a fire 2 weeks ago.  Fury Performance Training was left homeless due to smoke and water damage.  The Fury owners and founders have decided to move FPT back to its original home starting this Sunday, April 22nd.  We are excited to have Coach Green's energy back in our building, but there will need to be some changes in facility structure.  The biggest change is space is more limited.  There will be students and instructors in just about every corner of the building Sunday through Friday.  For safety purposes, parents and siblings will be asked to stay in the designated seating area in front of the bathrooms and upstairs above the bathrooms.  Also, students and catchers will need to wait to enter the training floor until their training session begins.  It will take some time to get used to these changes, but the facility will be a much safer place if everyone works together.  Fury management and staff appreciate your cooperation.
